Sengoku Basara Press Release

We're going to be getting a veritable samurai feast over the next couple of months!  Firstly Capcom will be releasing the game Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes on the 15th October, and a month later Manga Entertainment will be bringing us the anime of the game on Blu-Ray and DVD.  Sengoku Basara the game is set for release on the Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii, and pits some of Japan's greatest ever warriors against hordes of enemies in a similar way to Dynasty Warriors.  Check out the press release for the game here!

Manga License Hetalia Exis Powers Anime

Manga have listed a forthcoming DVD release for the hugely popular Hetalia Axis Powers anime.  The series loosely follows the events of World War 2 but with the various participant nations personified as human characters displaying their country's national traits.  The series will be released in one set and is due for release on 13th December 2010 priced at £17.99.

Anime on UK TV!

Anime on UK TV is a rare occurrence these days, but from September 6th digital channel PopGirl will be showing the magical girl anime Pretty Cure at 7am, 5:30pm and 8:30pm.  They will show one hour later on PopGirl +1.  Thankfully the channel is available on Freesat, so you don't have to be signed up to a provider in order to watch it.
