Q: When did you start cosplaying and how long for?

I started cosplaying on Halloween 2007 as a nurse from Silent Hill.  So Ive been cosplaying for a year and 5 months, even though it feels like 2 years.

Q: What attracts you cosplay?

I really wanted to be some of my favourite characters from video games and anime.  From what I've seen of other cosplayers, I wanted to have the fun they have.  So when I went as the Silent Hill nurse people were scared in the streets and it felt good that they were scared lol!  It is really fun and I enjoyed cosplaying so much I got more cosplays and joined in with everyone XD


Q:  What has been your favourite cosplay?

It has to be when I cosplayed Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X, which was my first cosplay at an anime convention.  I cosplayed with my friend Sadie who went as Karou (from the same series - ed.) which made it more fun.  I loved wearing samurai clothes with my katana as it was epic and everyone knew who I was, especially at the masquarade when everyone cheered and I did some poses and sword slinging. 

Q: Most memorable moment whilst cosplaying?

I guess when I was the Silent Hill nurse, and I scared people in the streets of Edinburgh while I walked to the halloween party, lol.  Was EPIC!!!

Q:  Have you had any cosplays go wrong/encountered problems whilst making cosplays?

When I was making the hand covers for my Kenshin cosplay, as it was hard to size with no-one there to help.  I did get it done in the end.

Q:  Have you ever regretted cosplaying?

I have never regretted cosplaying, its far too much fun XD

Q:  Have you ever done group cosplay? If so how did you find that experience?

Well I've only kind of group cosplayed with one of my friends when we went as Kenshin and Karou.  The experience was really fun as we called each other husband-san and wife-chan, lol.

Q:  What cosplays are you planning?

I have two new ones.  I am gonna do Nero from Devil May Cry 4 and a Geisha outfit, which both will be ready for Alcon.  Nero will be doing Kitacon as well.

Q:  Do you have a dream cosplay?

Would have to be any character from Soul Calibur 4, as it takes time to make.

Q:  Do you have one piece of advice that you would give to cosplay virgins?

Just go for it, have fun, learn from the experience and keep making cosplays.

I am on cosplay.com and deviant art which both have my cosplays on.
